Conscious Kidz | Fame

video
In keeping with The KRiB Review Show | Showbiz Special, we decided to do something  a little different for CONSCIOUS KiDZ by visiting top kids showbiz agent Carleen McCarthy from Alphabet Kidz Management, to find out how kids can get into the entertainment industry and the realities of climbing the slippery road to success.

Roald Dahl Conscious Kidz Report

video
TV, iPads, phones, Ps3’s, Wii’s, Snapchat, Instagram – We’re all hooked! But Roald Dahl foresaw this many moons ago and wasn’t shy about expressing his worry for kids of the future. Will we all turn into Google-brained robots? Here’s what you guys had to say on the matter.

KRiB's Top 5 Tips To Success

  1. Identify whether you genuinely have a talent that you are passionate about and not a plain desire to be famous or recognised.
  2. Are you willing to go all the way in developing your talent/skill through practise, effort and improving your knowledge and technique in it?
  3. Can you handle constructive criticism? – after all, if you think you know everything you can never improve.
  4. Being proactive in your quest for success. Are you attending after school or weekend clubs/workshops? Are you going to auditions? Are you seeking an agent?
  5. Don’t get attached to outcome. Be excited and prepared but be open to the challenges along the way and embrace them.

Conscious Kids Report : Bullying

video
Ok we confess; we are mad David Walliams fans here at The KRiB, but the main man isn’t just funny and outrageous in his stories, he touches on some relevant and important topics in his books too – Bullying being a big one and a subject we think needs to be talked about more! Here’s what you guys had to say about it…

Word Up!

For any advice related to themes that come up in our books, we are here for you with guidance and information as to which resources can help you find your answers. Email us at hello@thekrib.tv with the subject ‘Word Up’ and we’ll chose one question every week to publish. Don’t worry, we never publish full names, so no one will ever know it’s you.
Tom from Newcastle asks…
“In the book Mr Stink, Chloe takes the homeless guy in to her family home look after him. I always see homeless people when i walk home from school with my brother but don’t always know if i should give money when they ask me. But i really feel bad and want to help.”
KRiB answers…
“Tom, you are right to feel the need to help those less fortunate. Firstly as a minor, you should never feel guilty not giving money and perhaps they shouldn’t really be asking. It’s also tricky to know how responsible people would be with whatever money you do give. However if you really want to help and feel really good after you share, everyone out there get’s cold and hungry and therefor never underestimate how far a hot chocolate, apple or a sandwich would go to make someone in need really happy.”

Conscious Kids : What Can I Do?

video
The festive season is usually a time of good will and helping those around us, but for the homeless, every day in the year is a time of need. At Conscious Kidz we took Christmas as a great opportunity to find our what kids can do to help those on the streets. But remember, there are always ways to get involved and help no matter when, iyou would like to volunteer with your parents or guardians.
